Web Accessibility Engineer

PAC conducts many Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and 2.1 audits at levels AA and AAA. In addition, we collaborate with clients early in the design and development process, providing design evaluations. We also help developers to map UI elements to code accessibly. PAC is looking for persons who are passionate about web accessibility and are experts at conducting WCAG audits.

You must have:

  • 3+ years of conducting WCAG audits at levels AA or AAA
  • An excellent understanding of ARIA
  • An extensive understanding of the WCAG
  • Expert understanding of HTML5
  • Basic to moderate knowledge of JavaScript
  • Deep familiarity with automated testing tools and integrating them into your evaluation process
  • Extensive experience and advanced working knowledge of assistive technologies, including those on IOS and Android
  • A proven ability to communicate difficult concepts from web accessibility to developers and other stakeholders
  • A passion for staying up to date in a constantly evolving field where specific best practices can evolve monthly

It would be great if you have:

  • Web development experience
  • Authored any open-source contributions in the digital accessibility space (GitHub links welcome)
  • A degree in computer science or related field
