Fords Theatre SocietyProject Description
In order to manifest the organization's commitment to accessibility, Ford's Theatre engaged PAC to develop trainings and workshops for staff to develop an understanding of inclusive practices and to signal a distinct culture shift for the organization. The workshop set out to break down any barriers of discomfort the staff may have had; and after meeting Sina and spending time with him, staff felt comfortable asking questions about accessibility that they may have been nervous to ask in the past or didn’t even know to ask at all.
The workshop covered web accessibility, front-of-house training, accessibility road map building, conversations with senior staff, and much more. This project has led to making accessibility a part of the ongoing, everyday conversation at Ford’s Theatre among the staff to set the stage for deepening their work and commitment to an inclusive experience for every person who walks through their door.
